I'm Not Insane I'm Misunderstood
People don't often get me. It's always been like that. It's not that
I am particularly complex or anything, it's just that I do things that not
many people do these days - I speak my mind and I question authority. Yeah,
yeah, loads of people say they do that but, do they really? Do they really
deliberately go against the grain to try and establish their own way of
being? A lot of people talk the talk but they don't walk the walk. I
fucked up all my exams on purpose. Why? Simple, I didn't want the
"safe" option open to me. I'm a clever guy, I could have been
showered with A's and B's but, what worried me was that, when the going got
tough, I might give in and get a "proper" job. So I set out to
make myself unemployable. And the tenacity has paid off. I now own
this cool merch company and am singer in one the UK's most up-and-coming rock
bands. Along the way, I was told that my dreams were unattainable, that I
was wasting my life and that I was being stupid. But, to my mind, the
wasted life is the one that is lead by someone who did not at least TRY to
achieve their dreams. It's better to try and fail than never to try at
all. Non-achievers stand in line, the rest of us just do it.
