I am an uncle now. Quite a scary prospect. Not for me, but for my brother and his wife. What kind of role model am I going to be to their offspring?? When my brother was young, if he got too noisy and embarrassing, I would leave him in strange places, most noticeably in the toilets of a ferry we were on. That went down well with my parents, I can tell you!? When he got a bit older and I was allowed near him again, I would take him to the cinema and feed him copious amounts of chips and chocolate. He loved it!? My parents less so when he later vomitted everywhere. I suspect, based on these past misdemeanours that I may not be left alone with my little nephew, which is a shame, as I have soooooo much I need to teach him... ;)
