We have installed a dedicated SSL
Security Certificate (Security: domain control validation, strong 256-bit encryption, 2048-bit root)
from one of the most trusted issuers, GeoTrust, on our own dedicated
server. You will notice that the secure parts of our site start https://www.smellyourmum.com
which confirms to your browser - and you - that you are in a secure
environment. You can check the security of our site by going here,

We are PCI DSS Compliant!
The PCI DSS must be met by all organizations (merchants and service providers) that transmit, process or store payment card data. The PCI DSS (sometimes referred to as a compliance standard) is not a law. It is a contractual obligation applied and enforced - by means of fines or other restrictions - directly by the payment providers
themselves. However, we are so confident in the security of our site and
our eligibility for compliance that we submitted our site for compliance and
achieved validation (100% compliance required). Below is a screen grab of

We
accept all major credit and debit cards via our SSL server! You
will notice that the whole Checkout process is done in a secure
environment. Card transactions are processed in real-time by SagePay
(formerly Protx). Sage pay is audited annually under the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) and is a fully approved Level 1 payment services provider, which is the highest level of compliance.
They are also active members of the PCI Security Standards Council (SSC) that defines card industry global regulation.

We also accept PayPal payments. No-one can access your details or
information and no card information is transported by email. We
have been trading online since 2002, accepting card payments since 2004 and, in
all that time, there has not been one reported incident of a breach of security
via our site. If you are still worried though, please use our mail-in

card fraud it is important that we have checks in place to reduce the chances of
fraudulent transactions. When using your credit card to
purchase products through us it may be worth noting the following strategies we
have employed to ensure your credit card transaction is legitimate.

We ship to most countries around the
world but, if your country is NOT listed in the
address pulldown, we WILL NOT ship to it. We always double check that the
location provided is within the country stated. If it is not, we will not
ship.
We
take your security seriously!
We
take your security very seriously here at smellyourmum.com. We do not keep any
records of your card details (we never even see them). The information given on our secure payment page
is only used for that one transaction and is heavily encrypted while being
processed using 128bit ssl - the highest encryption system available.
In fact, it is far safer for you to buy goods online with a credit card than,
for example, paying for a meal in a restaurant where staff can take your card
out of sight and copy the numbers. Or by signing a slip in a shop to pay for
goods, which could then be left in full view of anyone. Even the carbon copies
may be discarded without being properly destroyed first. Buying goods by
telephone is no safer than buying online. Also, as a distant buyer you have far
greater protection than you do from face to face buying.
As you can see, everyday shopping is far more at risk to fraud than shopping
online, which (as well as being convenient) has, at the very least, active
security measures to protect your credit/debit card details.
