I'm not a big fan of sleep. I find it very boring. Pretty certain I'm missing something interesting and I can think of a million things I would rather do than just lay down for 7 or 8 hours. But, if I don't get enough sleep, I get REALLY grumpy. I heard that Margaret Thatcher used to survive on just 4 hours sleep a night when she was Prime Minister, so I thought I would try that. After about 2 days, I was practically hallucinating and thought it would be a Very Good Idea to kill my housemates. So that kind of sucked. Now I have to have total sensory depravation to sleep. The slightest noise or chink of light and there is fuck all chance of me catching some zee's. I do kind of figure that being asleep is a lot like being dead. Obviously not the dreaming part of it, but that part where you have no consciousness what-so-ever...it has to be like that, right? Because, consciousness whilst being dead would be a BAD thing. Imagine an eternity of being conscious enough to know that you were dead. Bit of a headfuck, that. Coming back to life to dine on the flesh of the living though, I'd do some of that. I won't get cremated, just in case...
